Health and Safety,

FIRST AND FOREMOST PLEASE BEWARE OF CHEAP IMITATION AND/OR INFERIOR BOUNCY CASTLES - if something sounds too cheap to be true, do ask yourself why?

At All about Memories 4R Kidz Bouncy Castle & Soft Play Rental Company we only hire out commercial grade bouncy castles and soft play that are designed, manufactured and maintained to comply with the industry standard for inflatable play. We supply safety crash mats on all of our inflatables and sand bag weights are used for all indoor bouncy castle hire. We want everyone to have as much fun as possible using our equipment, so there are some rules that must be followed to ensure everyone remains safe and has a great time!

Safety Information
Hiring Our Inflatable Bouncy Castles & Soft Play:
A responsible
(minimum of two) adults must supervise the inflatable at all times; larger units will require at least two to four adult’s supervision.

  1. Each unit has an age limit. Please ensure no one over this age uses the equipment or damage to the seems is likely to occur and could cause injury to the users.

  2. Try to avoid large children and small children from using the inflatable at the same time.

  3. Ensure the inflatable is not overcrowded & limit numbers depending on age and size of children using it. If the children are starting to collide into each other then it is too crowded. Stop the kids immediately.

  4. Children using our castles should be no taller than the sidewalls of the bouncy castles.

  5. Do not allow playing around the entrance/exit of the inflatables

  6. Please make sure the inflatable is fully secured to the ground at all times during use.

  7. All shoes, badges, glasses, jewellery (e.g., large earrings, necklaces etc.) and belts must be removed. It is recommended that spectacles/contact lens be also removed.

  8. Climbing, hanging or sitting on the wall is dangerous and must not be allowed.

  9. No Water/hoses on the inflatable’s as they then are covered with dirty wet/muddy footmarks which can cause children to slip over. Also, they then have to be specially cleaned off before the next hire. A charge may become applicable if the case. (Unfortunately, the rain doesn’t always make this possible)

  10. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front step.

  11. No face-paints, party-poppers, coloured streamers or ‘silly string’ must be used near or on the inflatable as they can make a terrible mess and permanently stain the unit.

  12. Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation or deflation.

  13. No food or drinks to be consumed on the inflatable. (Agreed, to be cleaned after)

  14. No one is allowed around the sides or the rear of the inflatable.

  15. No smoking near the inflatable.

  16. In the event of heavy rain, it is recommended that the inflatable be switched off. Any wetness or bubbling can be dried with a towel. A small picnic table placed over the blower will help prevent rainwater being sucked into the blower and then into the inflatable. Please cover ext lead with plastic bag if starting to rain. Then blow up the inflatable.

  17. The adult supervisor must watch for careless or reckless behaviour.

  18. Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.

  19. Do not use the inflatable in high winds – switch blower off immediately.

  20. Please have the inflatable ready for collection in the same state as it was delivered to you – nice and clean - not dirty and most importantly dry (the weather may of course intervene)

  21. In the unlikely event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. Check the fuses to ensure the blower tube or deflation tube has not come undone or something has not blown onto it which is obstructing the blower. In the event that it overheats or loses power, please switch the blower off at the mains, then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later and it should restart. If it does not please inform us immediately.

Although again, not a legal requirement, we strongly suggest that you do take a note of the following to ensure you are operating to the best of your ability. As part of managing the health and safety of your business you must control the risks in your workplace. To do this you need to think about what might cause harm to people and decide whether you are taking reasonable steps to prevent that harm. This is known as risk assessment and it is something you are required by law to carry out globally. If you have fewer than five employees you don't have to write anything down. A risk assessment is not about creating huge amounts of paperwork, but rather about identifying sensible measures to control the risks in your workplace. You are probably already taking steps to protect your employees, but your risk assessment will help you decide whether you have covered all you need to. Think about how accidents and ill health could happen and concentrate on real risks – those that are most likely and which will cause the most harm. For some risks, other regulations require particular control measures. Your assessment can help you identify where you need to look at certain risks and these particular control measures in  more detail. These control measures do not have to be assessed separately but can be considered as part of, or an extension of, your overall risk assessment. Method Statement.
Although again, no legal requirement, most organisations should set out a clear method of working. It is strongly recommended that anyone organising an event knows exactly how each and every contractor expects to carry out their activities on site. The method statements below have been created from years of on site experience and all attempts are made to carry out these erection procedures where possible. These operations carried out here are again beyond what is required by law and will certainly make you stand head and shoulders above the competition. We strongly suggest encouraging your customers to take the time to read these documents in advance of the event and familiarise themselves with the way you operate to ensure your events run smoothly on the day. Please feel free to view, print or download the method statements for your file by clicking on any of the documents below. If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us directly.
